About Us
EIGHT4NINE Restaurant and Lounge in 1954 was the home of the Palm Springs Post Office. Today the striking crisp white interior of EIGHT4NINE Restaurant & Lounge creates a minimalist atmosphere and a blank canvas to reflect the diverse colors of the menu’s culinary creations.
EIGHT4NINE encompasses an expansive space with various distinct areas for convivial dining and imbibing in the Grand Corridor, a selection of various sized private dining rooms; the Swanky Lounge; or our comfortable patio with majestic views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
The elegant and spacious lounge designed with crisp white décor featuring the back-lit onyx bar makes a dramatic statement evoking a chic and swanky atmosphere. The lounge comprises furnishings that offer maximum comfort to entice guests to linger. The comfortable bar stools and white patent leather Louis XIV ghost chairs complete the EIGHT4NINE’s crisp interior. The dazzling décor is an eclectic mix of rustic farm house tables juxtaposed with modern tables and contemporary chairs. The stunning effect is equal parts glamorous opulence and welcoming comfort.
The hot jewel-tone fabrics and original works of art provided by Melissa Morgan Fine Art in Palm Desert are used throughout the private dining rooms creating interesting spaces with their own unique personality. Original photography provided by celebrity photographers such as Michael Childers, John Paschal, John Arsenault-Swiader, and Stacy Olson Jacob featured throughout EIGHT4NINE punctuate the understated refined spaces.Tell a Friend
